PocketRate is a currency converter application available on iOS and Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data PocketRate does and does not collect.
Data Collection
PocketRate does not collect any personal data. No account creation is required to use the app. We do not ask for your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
Exchange Rate Data
The app fetches exchange rate data from the European Central Bank (ECB). These network requests do not include any user-identifying information beyond what is standard in an HTTP request (such as your IP address, which is handled by the ECB's own privacy policy).
Local Storage
Your currency preferences, selected currencies, and cached exchange rates are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server.
Third-Party Services
PocketRate uses the TradingView widget to display interactive currency charts. When you access the chart view, TradingView may collect usage data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Analytics
PocketRate does not use any analytics or tracking services. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any other telemetry.
Children's Privacy
PocketRate is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
